Title: Eating Less is Making You Fat: How to Lose Weight Without Starving
Author: Vijay Thakkar
Publisher: Hachette India
Print Length: 392
Genre: Non-Fiction/Health
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In this seminal take on well-being and fitness, celebrity health coach and functional medicine expert Vijay Thakkar presents his trademarked four-step formula for weight loss. He builds on years of research and personal history to dispel misinformation about nutrition, calorie-deficit diets, metabolism, and how hunger and satiety work.

Backing his theories with science and data, Vijay traces the origins of diabetes and heart diseases, conditions that are gaining ground among the young and seemingly fit. He explains how stress, exercise, and the quality of food impact hormones; simplifies the science behind low-carb diets and intermittent fasting; and offers sustainable methods to maintain optimal weight and lifelong health. While addressing common dietary and fitness queries, this groundbreaking manual also proposes easy-to-follow lifestyle tips, wholesome recipes, and effective workouts to guide the reader through the fog surrounding weight management.

Vijay Thakkar is a functional medicine expert and a dynamic, young entrepreneur passionate about fitness. He launched 48 Fitness in 2013 with a vision to redefine and address issues prevailing in the fitness industry. His brand has steadily become one of India’s most awarded celebrity fitness clubs, offering personalized services and wellness standards to fitness enthusiasts in the heart of Mumbai. Vijay has written about health, wellness, lifestyle, functional medicine, fitness, and nutrition in India for prestigious publications like Forbes, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, Femina, and many more.

Vijay Thakkar a renowned fitness icon, medical expert, young entrepreneur, and health & wellness expert presents a much-needed book of all time. For a not-so-fitness enthusiast like me, this book pumped too much motivation and made me rethink health and wellness. I am sure this book will serve every reader with enough information and clarify dubiousness about a healthy body and rejuvenating soul.

This book is furnished in two divisions. The very first piece talks about the factual information about “Why we get Fat”, where the author dispenses medical guidance and research study with pictorial representations and factual data.

My favorite chapter in the entire book is “Eat Well, Not Less“. In this chapter, the author shared a thorough analysis of food elements like carbs, proteins, fats, and calories with an additional FRFP, a handy nutrition protocol with vast experience in fat elimination and weight reduction. The crux of this book is how we effectively manage and maintain ample elements like body balance, food intake composure, diet elements, and tackling diet-borne diseases to lead a healthy and appease life. This book concludes with morning feed recipes, workout routines, and sleep time tuning.

To conclude, this book is a deck of wisdom for every individual who wishes to practice a healthier life, for those who seek clarifications on the age-old false perceptions, and for those on the indefinite path of effective weight loss plus deficit-free diet and hormonal balance.

I do remember none of the books I read in recent times had an in-detail analysis of two evils of human health. It’s a commendable effort by Vijay to burst many myths we have about our day-to-day intake of food and its limitations when it comes to those suffering from diabetes and obesity.

In contrast, eating nutrient-rich foods in smaller amounts can help one stay in shape and live a healthier life. Thus, it is important to maintain a healthy diet as well as exercise regularly in order to avoid gain weight
