Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Blogchatter Book of Friendship is the fourth anthology from one of India’s most celebrated creator communities, arriving at a milestone – a decade of Blogchatter. From the ghost of a best friend who finds his way home one last time, to four women who claim a Kolkata terrace as their own; from a retired Urdu teacher and the barefoot girl next door who pulls him back to life, to a stunt double who discovers that the friendship she was faking became the only real thing – these eighteen stories span grief and laughter, betrayal and grace, the friendships we choose and the ones that quietly choose us.

Blogchatter is one of India’s largest and most active digital platforms and communities dedicated to bloggers, content creators, and writers. Blogchatter began its journey in 2014 as a weekly Twitter chat, gaining organic traction and trending within three months. This early success validated Richa Singh’s vision and attracted brands eager to collaborate. Instead of becoming a traditional marketing agency, Blogchatter identified two key challenges faced by brands: siloed, hit-or-miss influencer campaigns with minimal impact, and generic content that lacked authenticity.

Blogchatter adopted a multi-platform, multi-content approach. Its campaigns span blogs, videos, and social media, mapping the consumer journey through SEO-optimized and contextually relevant content. To ensure authenticity, the team collaborates with creators, aligning their unique voices with brand narratives. Every campaign is dynamic, with no dull days on the calendar, ensuring a longer shelf life and sustained engagement.

Book précis…!!!

Adhering to its multi-content approach, Team Blogchatter continues to be the go-to partner for all literature enthusiasts. Echoing its footprint within creator communities, and to celebrate the special milestone of India’s most celebrated creator community, Team Blogchatter unveiled its fourth anthology under the theme of friendship. Echoing ten years of building this beautiful community is no less than building an adorable bond between readers, writers, storytellers, and literary aficionados.

This treatise is presented with eighteen friendship stories, hand-crafted by eighteen ardent writers. Every story offered to readers is exuberantly filled with passion, empathy, heartache, anguish, humour, fortitude, frisson, unforeseen twists, and so on. Though I am fortunate to be acquainted with the content of some of these writers, these tales gesture towards their talent and writing ability in presenting stories that revolve around the theme of friendship.

Lalitha Ramanathan’s ‘The Double‘ echoed the theme of friendship during a tough time; the presented tale also neatly reflects the unpredictable occurrence of friendship and bonding. Her presentation of the body double concept contemplates the current aspects of the glamour industry. Swarnali Nath’s ‘The Rhythm of Sisterhood‘ showcased the adoration and warmth of Badi Ma’s presence. With three characters, Munia, Sumitra, and Nandu, the author nicely presented a charming story reverberating with the rhythm of sisterhood. Romila Chitturi’s “Someone Has to Buy” shares the propinquity between Kavya, Priya, and their Café Mehrban. Set against the background of Delhi, this story takes readers to their nostalgic moments of friendship.

While the title says the stories carry their beautiful complexities, I feel a perfect synonym for living the best is a perfect blend of deep love with a pinch of misunderstanding, adoration with an ounce of miscommunication, and, most importantly, being perfectly imperfect.

I sincerely thank Team Blogchatter for the efforts they have put in to bring these eighteen gems to the reading community. Anthologies like these not only unleash readers’ creativity, but also help uncover the deeper meaning called LIFE. The true essence of discovering a captivating friendship doesn’t lie in choosing by ourselves, but it lies in the ones that are quietly choosing us.

Overall, if you want to experience eight stories that are filled with emotion, laughter, empathy, grief, and warmth, this anthology could be your right pick. At this juncture, I wish Team Blogchatter a successful ten years of completion. I am confident the journey of ten years would have brought in tons of memories, ample learnings, admirers, and more friends.

I also extend my special thanks to Team Blogchatter for making me a part of their successful journey. I envisage more and more collaborations and campaigns from the team, leaving a mark of accomplishments in both the readers’ and writers’ communities.

I congratulate all eighteen writers who were part of this anthology. Your reverence towards presenting your stories, gesturing towards friendship, is thoroughly seen in this present. I am sure Blogchatter is incomplete without contributors like you.

Special mention to your stories and the emotions behind presenting these tales; for me personally, there are tons of takeaways from your respective work. I unabashedly tried reaching out to my friends whom I lost contact with some years ago. I am buoyant that these stories will leave a remarkable mark on those who are reading this fabulous treatise.
