So, another book on philosophy, huh? You don’t need it? You have read enough?
It’s… NOT A BOOK OF PHILOSOPHY. NEITHER A BOOK TO URGE YOU TO HELP YOURSELF

This book will be a series of conversations between two fellow humans, you and me. Witnessing and experiencing my own journey as a human, I have come to realize that the older you get, the tougher it gets to find a friend in another human. So, how about we speak through a book-someone who has all the time in the world to listen to and understand you?

By the time you complete this book, you will have discovered a lifelong friend whom you can turn to at any time to ask questions, find answers, and feel a little healed. Perhaps, you may even come to embrace your uniqueness and your journey as a human.

From,
A fellow human.

Let’s Talk Humanhood is an open and heartfelt conversation between the author and her readers. Echoing her thoughts, every passing year in a person’s life seems to create a distance from the true essence of ‘Being Human’ in our interactions and shared journeys. She presents a detailed dialogue exchange starting from childhood to adulthood. The journey of HUMANHOOD is always intricate, woven with a mix of emotions, challenges, empathy, and much more. With this book, Chirasree Bose aims to tap into the discovery of ‘HUMANHOOD‘ to reconnect with a lost friend within and unveil the journey of humanhood at any stage of life.

Book précis!!!

Though this is Chirasree Bose’s first book in the non-fiction genre, she has beautifully captured the pulse of her readers by choosing to speak about embracing humanhood. Unlike traditional non-fiction that often provides motivation or inspiration in a single shot, this book is more of a gentle “Pause & Reflect” companion. It invites readers to slow down, ponder, and embrace the spirit of ‘humaneness’ with warmth and sincerity.

Chirasree has thoughtfully divided this book into phases of life, beginning with ‘The Beginning…’ and concluding with ‘Before It Ends…’. These hundred-and-four mindful chapters encourage readers to pause, reflect, and sometimes return after days to discover new meanings. For me, the key ingredient of this work is the ‘Essence of Relatability‘. Throughout the book, I didn’t find Chirasree; rather, I found myself brutally lost in the maze of societal expectations and the mess of adjustments to fit in.

With over three decades of companionship with Mother Earth, and as someone who has faced the pressures and struggles of embracing the emotion of uniqueness. For me, HUMANHOOD acts like a beautifully coated mirror reflecting myself through the words of Chirasree Bose. It feels like a tight hug, a warm cup of strong filter coffee, or a pillion ride on a long journey, offering gentle encouragement of non-judgmental personal growth through compassion, empathy, and warmth that transcend societal binaries.

This book equally challenges your ability to be receptive and invites you to revisit cherished memories, rekindling them as a companion for anyone navigating the labyrinth of selfhood in a noisy world. As a dedicated self-help book reader, I felt that the author does not try to impose or teach rigid lessons about HUMANHOOD. Rather, she extends a gentle invitation to be more present, accepting, reflective, humane, and kind—both to oneself and to others.

My thoughts often return to the chapters that reflect the three phases of life. The very first is ‘12 – Becoming,’ where we, as humans, undergo the transformation from childhood to adulthood, experiencing both physical and emotional changes. Next on my favorite list is ‘57 – Humanity,’ where the author deeply emphasizes self-love, me-time, and self-care. Lastly, I cherished the chapter ‘100 – Men,’ where she thoughtfully explores the lives of men and the everyday chaos.

Author Accolades..!!!

“Manhood Womanhood Let’s Talk Humanhood” is a literary connection with readers that encourages looking beyond the complexities of human existence. As Chirasree Bose conveys through the title, this book is not a gender-specific write-up. Rather, it is a creative work by a self-proven author that unveils meaningful connections and invites us to rethink life, making HUMANHOOD truly count and reaffirming what it means to be HUMAN.

Irrespective of your age or the stage of life you are in, this book offers something meaningful to every reader, helping to find answers for transformation beyond life’s messiness, triumphs, and setbacks. Let us all embrace the festival called HUMANHOOD and discover its true meaning. May this Navarātri be a shubhamuhūrta to reshape finding the space for reflection, acceptance, and growth.
